No visitor account required

We store a random visitor identifier in an essential cookie for up to one year. It lets this browser remember and change your votes. We store only a hash of the cookie token in the database.

One browser is not one person

Clearing cookies, using private browsing, or switching devices creates a separate identity. Anonymous voting cannot guarantee one vote per real person. Rate limits, security checks, and creator review help reduce manipulation. Votes guide the creator; they do not guarantee a video.

What is stored

Your requested character names, vote choices, changes, and timestamps are stored. Security controls temporarily store hashed network identifiers. No public profiles or comments are collected. Suspicious voting can be invalidated. Do not include personal information in a matchup.

Security checks

Cloudflare Turnstile may check your browser to deter bots. The website uses essential cookies for voting and creator login, with no advertising or analytics cookies added by this project.

Retention and privacy requests

Visitor sessions expire after one year. Voting and moderation records may be retained for integrity and historical results. Contact ShortStory+ through the TikTok account that linked you here for questions or a privacy request. Do not send your cookie or login credentials.
